BAD HOUSE KARMA

So, for the last 3 years I've been trying to buy a house. I've put offers on several places only for it to fall through... due to termites, pricing negotiations, Crap.. etc. I took a much needed break so I wouldn't loose my mind and here i am again. I finally decided to pull the trigger on this house I've been looking at for a few weeks and I made an appointment for tomorrow to put an offer on it. Well, guess what....someone beat me to it. Seriously??? Are you $^&%* kidding me! I think the houses in South City have it out for me. Maybe I need some sort of exorcism to rid me of my bad house karma. Garlic? no...... Crusifix? no........ Mass quantities of alchohol......YES! But that still doesn't solve my house issue. Maybe I'll just move in and claim there was some sort of mix up. Yes, yes....that's it. It will be mine......all mine.....

Well, when you put it that way.....I guess I can wait for you. I'll be lookiing forward to September 10th when we can be together.

DARK NIGHT

I know I'm a little behind on this topic, but I just went to see Dark Night last night and it was definately up to the hype. I don't even normally care for these type of movies that much, but I love Christian Bale (for obvious reasons) and I've always enjoyed watching Heath Leger. I've never seen him in a role that I didn't like. And I know I'm quoting what's already been said a million times in the last few months, but he really was brilliant in this role. He had such a nack for really making you think twice that it really was just a role he was playing and that person on the screen doesn't really exist. He was just so effortlessly crazy. I have to say that Christian seemed a little lacking opposite such a strong seemless character. Not that he wasn't good, but he just melted into the background with Heath on the screen. Not only is it a tragic loss for his family and friends that he left this world too soon, but it's such a loss for generations that missed out on seeing such a brillian actor. Such a shame. Hopefully he is happier, wherever he is.....

CLEANING UP WITH JESUS

So, last night I participated in and attended the Drive DIY "Found Art" art show. It was my first attempt to submit a piece in a show. The challenge was to take a piece of trash, fished out of the Mississippi, and make it into art. I started with a broom head and ended up with a bejeweled Jesus broom....appropriately titled "Cleaning up with Jesus". Some just stared at it, trying to figure it out. Others just giggled.......Jake. But the piece was well recieved and sparked many a religious discussion throughout the night, which made the evening that much more interesting. Beer, art, Jesus.....what more do you want on a Thursday night.
