NOTHING
So, you know what I did yesterday........nothing. And it was everything I dreamed it would be. Happy weekend to me................
Spring Fling
So our Spring Company party was this past Thursday. Yeah, I know it's been a few days, oh well. For the past 10 years the company has been taking over the golf course at Forest Park for part of the day and then partying in the park for the Spring party, but because of the rapid growth of the company we decided to try something new this year. This year we did a scavenger hunt. There was a lot of hesitation and a lot of people thought it was a stupid idea, but everyone that participated, had a blast. And most even thought it was better than the golf thing. We had about 20 or so people to a team and we went all over town to find our items and locations. It was a ton of fun. I'm just glad the bus driver didn't quit on us in the middle of it. I think i would have dropped our obnoxious asses off at the nearest location if it had been me. But luckily he was pretty tolerant. Some of the highlights were getting the owner of Talanyas to open the place for us so we could get our picture taken inside, getting a pic with one of the guys from the channel 2 news team and two of our team members getting a pic with a nun (funny part was that they both had obnoxious sexual comments on their t-shirts). And of course a guy and girl swapping clothes on the bus. Nice! All in all, it was a blast. ANd then we spent the rest of the night partying at a bar we rented out. lots of bad kareoke, bad dancing, wierd people crashing our party and lots of great pictures. Good times.

Hard Candy
I had never heard of Ellen Page until Juno came out. I have yet to see it, but i plan to very soon. I came across a movie the other night, when I was spending some quality time with my couch, featuring Ellen Page. After hearing all the hype about her and Juno, I had to take a look. It seems simple enough in the beginning. A young girl interested in an older guy, but it quickly takes a sinister turn. She, a 14 year old girl, arranges a meeting with this 30 something photographer she met on the internet. As if that isn't screwed up enough you quickly realize that she hunted this guy down after he raped and killed her best friend. She plays mind games with him to tear him down far enough that she convinces that his only option is to kill himself. Which he does after she finally gets him to admit what he'd done. It is probably the most bizarre movie I've ever seen, but Ellen Page is Brilliant. I think she is my new favorite actress. I don't think I've ever seen a young, inexperienced actress play such a complicated, delicate roll and pull it off so seemlessly. I think I was more facinated with her acting that I actually was with the movie. Although, the movie was quite good. Well done. Simple. Pretty much all takes place in a house, but really well done. Really screwed up, but much like a train wreck.....you just can't look away. Cudos to you Ellen Page. You are Awesome.
Flying Cupcakes
After attending the Radiohead concert we piled in the car and were making our way through the long line of cars. Luckily we had leftover cupcakes from our tailgating party before the concert to munch on. So after the sugar rush hit us, another car butted in front of us and being that Suzanne was still weilding a cupcake....she lobbed it at the car and in perfect fashion it landed directly under the window on the passenger door. THe dark chocolate cupcake protruding from the bright silver car. And the best part was.....they had no idea. The glory only lasted a moment as we watched in awe as the cupcake slid down the door and disappeared into the night. The only evidence left was the faint trail of chocolate smeared down the door, which passersby mistook for something slightly less desirable. The moral of the story here is if you mess with the bull you get the cupcake..........
